KITESURFING RENTAL PROGRAMME
FOXY WIND offers kitesurfing rental programme as relaxed as possible
KITESURFING RENTAL PLANS:
- COMPLETE PACKAGE RENTAL gives you access to all the gear from Foxy Wind rental fleet;
- KITE ONLY RENTAL — 75% of the rental price;
- KITEBOARD ONLY RENTAL — 50% of the rental price.
PRICES
SAVE
- when you book a package;
- when you book on-line: 10% — for early online booking; 5% — if you book 2 weeks in advance.
- when you book in a grop: special group discount for a booking in a group of 2 or more (it is included in our online calculator when you book online)
RESPOSIBILITY
* Our rental prices cover minor damages that can be repaired without replacement:
• short scratches and scuffs, minor tears in kite canopy fabric up to 70 mm in length;
• small punctures or holes in kite bladder up to 5 mm in diameter;
• finger-sized or smaller dings, chips, dents, and cracks on the board.
In case of multiple damaged areas in kite canopy or bladder, the overall length of the damage should not exceed 300 mm and the distance between rips should not be less than 100 mm.
The customer is responsible for the costs of the damages if they occur except cases mentioned above which we will verify when the equipment is returned, or the loss of it. DEPOSIT is required for equipment loss or significant damage coverage. The deposit covers damages that are repairable. In case of complete destruction or loss of any gear, you will be asked and expected to pay for the full amount of the wholesale price of it.
A security deposit should be returned once the rental ends and the rental agreement has been honoured. Deductions may be made or the deposit retained in full, if there has been damage above normal wear and tear to the equipment or minor damages.
STORAGE
You can store up to 2 kites and 1 board with us. Our storage also includes boat rescues and use of the facilities. Need advice on the size of the gear to bring? Just ask!
RESCUE
The rescue boat is always ready for emergency use. However, rescues in light winds are only made in exceptional cases after an observation period. Light wind kite surfers who push the limits have to be prepared to swim to the shore and must be appropriately equipped to do so.
BEACH FEE
Beach use without rental, lessons or storage is 10 € per day.
At some spots kitesurfing is affected by tides, so please call or text us to find out what times are available each day through the season.

ARE YOU READY TO HIRE?
In order to rent the equipment, you must have completed a kitesurf course and be at least IKO level 2 certified (or equivalent level). Prior to rental, proof of competence will be required: an IKO / VDWS certification card or another trusted source or through the form of a FOXY WIND assessment session (around 10 minutes) to make sure that the person hiring is able to ride upwind in fair conditions and follows safety rules.
If you’re unable to demonstrate all the safety requirements, you would be asked to take a private lesson with an instructor before being able to rent equipment.
IKO LEVEL 2 RIDERS
In case you are IKO Level 2 certified (or equivalent level) then you have a possibility to rent and ride within sight of the instructor and no more than ¼ mile from him at all times. Our instructor’s guidance should help you progress.
IKO LEVEL 3 RIDERS
The riders IKO Level 3 certified (or equivalent level) or those who are able to consistently stay upwind and know proper self-rescue techniques may surf within a radius of 1 mile and stay within sight of the water sports centre.
NO CERTIFICATE?
If you are not a current IKO card holder, our instructors can do an assessment and provide you with your IKO member card which can be used all over the world to prove your skill level and simplify gear rental. The assessment session for certification costs 50 euros and lasts for about 30-40 minutes. If the assessment is failed, no refund will be given.
KITESURFING EQUIPMENT INSPECTION
Each time you go onto the water you should check:
- the kite canopy,
- inflation valve,
- rubber O-ring,
- all of the hoses and valves connecting the leading edge and the struts.
- last, check the bridle lines for any signs of fraying or damage in the ropes and pulleys as well as the steering lines and power lines.
